Planted: Swiss startup brings new meat alternative to Austria

Two products will initially be available in Austria from the end of January, “planted. chicken nature” and “planted. chicken herbs & lemon”. Outside of Spar, the startup's products can also be found in its own online shop. The founders are already very satisfied with their market entry in Germany and Switzerland: “Our success in Switzerland and Germany shows that we are right on trend with our products. The consumption of meat substitute products has experienced an enormous upswing in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Pascal Bieri. Since Austria is currently still in a lockdown, the new products could also experience a similar development here.
