planted.chicken Skewers Tandoori with tikka masala sauce

Ingredients

Coconut oil or vegetable oil
150 g
Onions finely chopped
10 g
Garlic, chopped
10 g
Ginger, finely chopped
400 g
chopped tomatoes (from the tin)
15 g
Tomato paste
Salt and pepper
5 g
various spices (cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, garam masala)
2.5 g
Chili powder (optional)
1-2 TSP
Agave syrup or maple syrup (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the chopped onions and fry until translucent.
  2. Add the chopped garlic and ginger and fry for a further 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, garam masala and chili powder. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes to roast the spices.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato purée and season with salt and pepper. Stir well to combine everything.
  5. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, you can add agave syrup or maple syrup at this point. Adjust the sweetness to your taste.
  6. Bring the sauce to the boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
  7. While the sauce is simmering, drizzle some olive oil and a pinch of salt on the skewers tandoori planted.chicken skewers tandoori and fry them in the pan for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  8. Serve with basmati rice and fresh coriander.
