The new plant-based winter roast from Planted

3 minutes reading time

Buying plant-based meat products has never been as varied as it has been in recent years, and yet many people stand in front of the shelves in winter and ask themselves the question: Do we have to have "goose" or not at all? After all, roast goose, duck, meatloaf and the like have always been a bit of a mystery. The Swiss food tech start-up Planted is putting an end to this and, following last year's success, is once again introducing a "ready to cook" roast that only needs to be cooked in the oven. The planted.roast comes in one piece in true "roast style" and is rounded off with a full-bodied roast gravy with a roasted aroma, specially developed by celebrity chef Sebastian Copien - using only natural ingredients and the shortest ingredient list that a plant-based roast can have.

Plant-based enjoyment in the blink of an eye

Whether in a restaurant, at a friend's house or at a party - if you want to avoid animal products completely or only temporarily, it's often not easy in culinary terms. Especially in winter, with all its festivities, the additional preparation of plant-based meat dishes is an additional burden on an already tight time account. With the winter roast, 100% animal-free enjoyment is now finding its way into the nation's ovens - and it's quick and "ready to cook". Because this delicious dish, based on plant proteins, only takes 25 minutes. Finely balanced spices, prunes and Dijon mustard as well as a gravy co-developed by celebrity chef Sebastian Copien complete the taste experience.

Roast reloaded

With only natural ingredients, no additives or flavorings and the shortest ingredient list, the good piece can officially call itself "clean label". But it's not just the unique taste that's impressive - the fibrous texture is also almost indistinguishable from an "animal" piece of meat. This is made possible by the innovative production process specially developed by Planted and the revolutionary combination of extrusion and fermentation.

The best thing is that after last year's great success when the roast was still available in limited quantities, this year the winter roast is not only available in larger quantities and over a longer period (i.e. beyond the holidays), but the recipe for the gravy has also been refined once again and will not only cause cries of joy among the already die-hard planted.roast fans.

The planted.roast including gravy (400 g roast + 210 ml gravy) for 3 people will be available from week 46 at REWE in the North, West and East regions and from week 49 at REWE throughout Germany. In Austria, the roast will be available at Interspar from the end of November. In addition, Switzerland, Germany and Austria will be served directly via Planted 's own webshop with immediate effect.
